Overview

The Corsair Force Series is based on SandForce SF-1200 controllers with a maximum sequential read speed of 285MB/s and write speed of 275MB/s, and 50,000 IOPS (4K). It is available with both 34nm and 25nm NAND flash modules, the latter of which have a decreased user-accessible capacity (over-provisioning) but a lower price due to durability issues with flash memory produced with the 25nm production process.

It is available in capacities ranging from 60GB to 240GB, with no discernible difference in performance between the different capacities, which is a common problem in other drives.

Reviews

  • “While the F100 should be a truly excellent SSD it remained to be just 'good', the Force 100 for whatever reason decided to give us a bit of a rough time, sometimes that happens with hardware.”

    Guru3D

  • “I really have no performance complaints about the SF-1200 or Corsair's Force drive. Both did very well in our tests.”

    AnandTech (archived)

  • “Our expectations were admittedly high with this drive, but it’s worth pointing out that the Force F120 is a great SSD that delivers as promised.”
