Overview
The Force Series 3 is the SATA III version of Corsair's original Force series. Via the 6 GB/s SATA interface, the Force Series 3 is able to reach a maximum sequential read speed of 540 MB/s a sequential write speed of 425 MB/s. Like the original Force Series, the SATA III drive comes in capacities of 60 to 240 GB plus a 480 GB variant.
Inside the Force Series 3 is SandForce's SF-2281 controller, a staple in almost all SATA III SSDs. NAND modules are asynchronous and no DRAM cache is present. Peak IOPS for random 4k aligned is listed at 50,000. The Force Series 3 comes with a three-year warranty and a Mean Time Between Failure of 2 million hours.
