Overview

The Mac Series XT is one of Patriots Sandforce SF-2281 powered solid state drives that includes Wildfire and Pyro. Like the mentioned series of SSDs, the Mac Series XT is also a SATA III drive. It has a maximum sequential read of 520 MB/s and a maximum sequential write of 500 MB/s. Similarly, the maximum random write in IOPS for the Mac Series XT is 80,000. As the name suggests, this solid state drive is intended for Macintosh computers with operating system versions 10.3 or higher.

Together with the SF-2281 processor inside the drive are MLC-based NAND flash modules. Proprietary SandForce technologies are supported such as DuraClass and DuraWrite. Other features include RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements), TRIM, and intelligent Block Management and Wear Leveling, Read Disturb Management and Recycling for advance free space management. The drive comes with a limited three-year warranty.
