Overview
Seagate's Pulsar series of solid state drives are available in three variants: 50 GB, 100 GB and 200 GB. This SATA 3 or SAS drive is capable of reaching a sequential read/write speed of 240 MB/s and 220 MB/s respectively. Its IOPS meanwhile can reach 30,000 for reading and 25,000 for writing at 4k random.
The Pulsar contains enterprise-class MLC NAND Flash memory modules that are considerably more durable than their consumer equivalents. Seagate promises 10 full drive overwrites/day for the duration of the warranty period.
The Pulsar has 0.44 percent AFR for high reliability and endurance. Data is protected in case of power loss and warranty is up to five years. Its external case construction can withstand a force a strong as 1500 G and vibrations of 16 GB peak. The Pulsar is an enterprise standard SSD.
