Indilinx Barefoot 3

Indilinx SATA III (6 Gb/s) 1 drive in database

The Indilinx Barefoot 3 is the final and most capable controller developed by Indilinx under OCZ Technology ownership, introduced with the OCZ Vector in late 2012. Unlike the Everest 2 which was based on Marvell silicon, the Barefoot 3 was a fully in-house Indilinx design, and the first true result of OCZ's 2011 acquisition. It is an 8-channel DRAM-equipped SATA III controller supporting MLC NAND, targeting the high-performance consumer segment.

The Barefoot 3 went through two stepping revisions in its short lifespan: M00 (OCZ Vector 150) and M10 (OCZ Vertex 450). OCZ filed for bankruptcy in November 2013, ending further development. Toshiba subsequently acquired OCZ's assets and continued selling drives under the OCZ brand for some time.
