SSD Controller

Indilinx IDX300

Indilinx SATA III (6 Gb/s) 1 drive in database

The Indilinx IDX300 (full designation: IDX300M00-BC) is a DRAM-equipped SATA III controller used in the OCZ Octane, launched in late 2011 shortly after OCZ's acquisition of Indilinx. It was one of the first Indilinx-branded controllers to include a dedicated DRAM cache, departing from the DRAM-less approach of the earlier Barefoot line. The Octane was positioned as a high-capacity mainstream drive, with the IDX300's DRAM supporting a larger and more efficient flash translation layer. OCZ did not publicly disclose detailed architectural specifications for the IDX300.
