SandForce SF-2100

SandForce SATA III (6 Gb/s) 65nm (TSMC) 1 drive in database

The SandForce SF-2100 is an entry-level member of SandForce's second-generation SATA III controller family, sharing its 65nm TSMC process with the better-documented SF-2281 and SF-2241. Like other SF-2000 series controllers it is DRAM-less and employs DuraWrite data compression to reduce write amplification. The SF-2100 was positioned for OEM and value-tier deployments with reduced feature scope compared to the SF-2241 and SF-2281; detailed architectural specifications were not publicly disclosed by SandForce.
